SmiLe Venture Hub is one of Sweden's leading life science incubators, dedicated to transforming world-class research in pharmaceuticals and medical technology into commercially successful companies that improve people's lives.
SmiLe is owned by a foundation established by the Municipality of Lund, Lund University, Region Skåne, and Medicon Village. Together with Sweden's foremost innovation environments, SmiLe is consistently recognized as one of the country's leading life science incubators.
We support entrepreneurs and growth companies throughout their journey—from early-stage innovation to international expansion. Our experienced team provides hands-on expertise in clinical and regulatory development, intellectual property (IP), business development, customer validation, corporate governance, fundraising, and People & Culture.
In addition to our incubator, SmiLe manages its own venture capital fund and operates state-of-the-art laboratories for early-stage drug development at Medicon Village, one of Europe's leading life science clusters.
SmiLe is also a prominent innovation partner in Sweden and across Europe. Through strategic collaborations and EU-funded initiatives, we help shape the future of the life science innovation ecosystem in areas such as women's health, Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs), foodtech, testbeds, access to capital, and education.
